When to use: When event might be reactivated or used as a template

Edit Event Details

Update event information instead of deleting

When to use: When event date or details change but event is still happening

Let It Expire

Allow event to expire naturally after its end date

When to use: When event is already past or will end soon

Best Practices

Before Deleting Events

  • Verify the event is truly no longer needed
  • Check if the event should be edited instead of deleted
  • Notify relevant staff about event cancellation or removal
  • Save event details if you might need them for future reference
  • Consider deactivating instead of deleting if uncertain
  • Confirm you're deleting the correct event

Deletion Best Practices

  • Delete canceled events immediately to avoid shopper confusion
  • Clean up past events regularly to keep the event list current
  • Don't delete events that might recur (deactivate instead)
  • Always read the confirmation message before proceeding
  • Document reason for deletion if part of event management process
  • Communicate deletions to team members who might be affected

Managing Event Lists

  • Use filters to view only active or expired events
  • Regularly review and clean up old events
  • Archive event details externally before deleting if needed
  • Keep event list manageable by removing outdated entries
  • Use consistent criteria for when to delete vs deactivate
  • Schedule regular event list maintenance
